Springwell Audio AB provided project management and design services for the newly opened Swedish National Arena in Stockholm.
The project spanned almost 4 years in total dating back to the composition of the initial design specification through to final completion and handover.
Company owner, Steven Liddle, acted as consultant to PEAB, the main contractor for building and fitting out of the arena.
The PAVA system provides reinforcement and reproduction for sport, concerts and a host of other events as well as fulfilling the life safety function.
Audio distribution is based around a dual redundant, single mode fibre network with port level monitoring of links. Dante digital audio provides an extremely flexible routing and distribution system with both primary and secondary enabled on separate VLANs. This level of resilience ensures maximum uptime in the event of an equipment failure or damage to fibre.
Processing and amplification are from the Electrovoice Netmax and Contractor Precision Series respectively. XLVC (XLD281) line arrays and EVH point sources provide coverage in the bowl whilst a variety of Bosch loudspeakers provide coverage of the 100V distributed system.
